EHS Specialist – Power Generation (Beni Suef)

About the role

You will target candidates who are detail‑oriented, proactive, and passionate about fostering a safety‑first culture in power generation operations. You will engage in meaningful projects that enhance compliance with safety legislation and corporate standards, directly impacting the well‑being of your team, clients, and partners while supporting Siemens Energy's mission of sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the O&M EHS program to ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and compliance audits against standards like IFC guidelines.
• Lead risk assessments and incident investigations to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors to enhance safety awareness.
• Mentor and guide EHS technicians to cultivate a proactive safety culture within the power plant.
• Monitor and report on EHS performance, providing insights for continuous improvement to the EHS Manager.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in power generation or heavy industry.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) and ISO 45001 Lead Auditor or Implementer Certification.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and compliance auditing.
• Excellent communication skills for training, mentoring, and stakeholder management.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities to ensure effective EHS documentation and reporting.
