Electrical Engineer – Maintenance (Medium Voltage)

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will join the maintenance team at Talaat Moustafa Group in the New Capital, Cairo. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability of medium‑voltage (MV) equipment through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and rapid response to breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement weekly, monthly and annual preventive maintenance plans for MV equipment.
• Create detailed checklists covering dates, materials, tests and manpower requirements.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, procurement and safety departments for planning and compliance.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory to guarantee availability and minimise downtime.
• Provide on‑call emergency support and respond quickly to unexpected failures.
• Assist in inspections, calibration and preventive checks of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Maintain up‑to‑date operation and maintenance manuals, technical drawings and documentation.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair technical or mechanical issues as they arise.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience with medium‑voltage equipment such as switchgears, RMUs, transformers, protective relays and control gear.
• Experience in operation, preventive and corrective maintenance, installation, testing and commissioning of MV systems.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
