Finance Manager – Manufacturing & Cost Accounting

About the role

Alwan Textile, a growing cotton textile and fabric manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead its finance and accounting function. The role involves overseeing the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and establishing strong financial controls across the production process.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all accounting and financial activities of the company.
• Lead and supervise the existing accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure proper closing of accounts.
• Develop and maintain a cost accounting system for textile operations, analyzing product costs across yarn, weaving, dyeing and finishing.
• Monitor manufacturing cost variances, support pricing decisions and analyze product profitability.
• Manage accounts receivable and payable, monitor cash flow, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Support budgeting, financial planning and provide analysis against budget.
• Identify process gaps, implement improvements and maintain strong internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including managerial or supervisory accounting roles.
• Strong experience in General Accounting, Cost Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably textile or cotton production.
• Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP or other accounting systems.
