Food & Beverage Reservation Desk Associate

About the role

The Food & Beverage Reservation Desk Associate supports smooth guest experiences by handling reservations, assisting other departments, and maintaining a clean, welcoming work environment at a Marriott hotel in Cairo.

Key responsibilities

• Assist various hotel departments to ensure optimal guest service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the reservation area throughout the shift, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Read and verify reservation details from printed and electronic formats.
• Enter and retrieve guest information using computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Communicate with team members via pagers, two‑way radios, and email.
• Engage guests in conversation about their stay, hotel services, and local attractions.
• Follow all safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and provide courteous assistance, including support for guests with disabilities.
• Lift, move, and place objects weighing up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform any other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience in hospitality or guest services.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and remain on feet for an entire shift.
• Capability to read small print and verify information accurately.
• Ability to use computers, POS terminals, and basic electronic communication devices.
• Professional verbal communication and telephone etiquette.
• Commitment to follow safety, security, and company policies.
