Fire Life Safety Officer – 4/5 Star Hotel

About the role

The Fire Life Safety (FLS) Officer ensures that all fire protection systems and safety procedures are operating correctly in a 4/5‑star hotel environment. You will conduct daily inspections, coordinate with contractors, and maintain compliance with safety regulations to protect guests, staff and property.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect fire alarm system panel on a daily basis.
• Check all gas valves and gas leakage detectors each day.
• Examine kitchen fire suppression systems and elevator intercom daily.
• Inspect zone control valves of wet‑pipe sprinkler systems daily.
• Issue work permits and follow up with contractors to ensure safe execution of tasks.
• Conduct weekly inspections of fire extinguishers, fire hose reels and fire hydrants.
• Coordinate with service providers for fire alarm and kitchen fire suppression system maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of fire safety experience in 4/5‑star hotels.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems.
• Familiarity with gas valve and leakage detection equipment.
• Understanding of kitchen fire suppression and sprinkler systems.
• Ability to issue permits and liaise with contractors safely.
