Geocycle Site Supervisor

About the role

The Geocycle Site Supervisor is responsible for operating the waste‑to‑energy plant in Suez, ensuring safe, efficient and continuous production while meeting quality and environmental standards. This role combines hands‑on equipment management, alternative fuel handling and strict health‑and‑safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Launch, operate and monitor the platform system to guarantee uninterrupted plant operations.
• Monitor process parameters, record downtime and report any operational deviations.
• Adjust feed rates to optimise performance while maintaining product quality.
• Inspect and maintain mobile equipment safety standards and fire‑fighting system readiness.
• Develop and enforce Risk Assessments and Safe Work Instructions for all activities.
• Receive, inspect, unload and prepare alternative fuel (RDF, biomass) and industrial waste for processing.
• Manage stockpile aeration, temperature measurements and overall material stability.
• Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, HSE requirements and PPE stock management.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, labour attendance records and housekeeping standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating industrial plant equipment and monitoring process parameters.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation applicable to waste‑to‑energy facilities.
• Ability to develop and implement risk assessments and safe work instructions.
• Experience handling alternative fuels such as Refuse‑Derived Fuel and biomass.
• Capability to supervise stockpile management and ensure material stability.
