Graphic Design Manager

About the role

Dubizzle Egypt is the leading online marketplace for buying and selling in the region, part of the Dubizzle Group of eight brands with more than 160 million monthly users. As Graphic Design Manager, you will combine marketing expertise with a strong eye for design across print and digital media, working with a team of designers and videographers alongside the editorial and marketing teams and the Creative Director.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a team of designers and photographers, set priorities and coordinate work with other supervisors and managers
• Be accountable for the design team's performance and results
• Analyse and solve problems without a clear precedent, and give input on resource planning and policy development
• Provide technical guidance and guide decisions through policies, procedures and business plans, receiving guidance from the Creative Director
• Set employee performance objectives, conduct performance reviews and exercise limited management authority
• Brainstorm with the team to develop campaign ideas while keeping the brand identity, and review art and copy
• Produce compelling visuals, present final concepts and stay up to date with trends and data

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Creative Arts
• At least 8 years of client-side experience, including 2 years managing a team
• Experience in marketing/advertising campaigns, print design, and digital and UI/UX design
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills
• Ability to manage workload, work under pressure and adapt to change

Required skills

• Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and typography software
• After Effects, colour theory, web design, HTML & CSS layout and conversion optimisation
• Print and UI/UX design theory
• Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom and XD are an advantage
