Senior UI/UX Designer

About the role

Dawam Business Solutions is looking for a Senior UI/UX Designer in Alexandria to lead the design of products from conception through launch and refinement. The role promotes human-centered design and usability best practices across projects, mentors junior designers and works closely with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design process of products and ensure consistency and integrity in usability and accessibility across product teams.
• Create visually appealing interfaces while maintaining brand coherence and adhering to design standards.
• Balance user needs with business objectives and technical limitations, and collaborate cross-functionally on strategy and project planning.
• Develop and refine products and services with a system thinking approach, and support data-driven initiatives by integrating analytics into design.
• Conduct workshops and ideation sessions, assist design leadership with communication and presentations, and engage stakeholders proactively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related design field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software design, including 1+ year leading and coaching UI/UX designers.
• Proven track record of managing projects from start to finish and a strong portfolio of mobile app design.
• Experience facilitating workshops and ideation sessions; a growth mindset and ability to build trust in a remote, dynamic environment.
• Passion for the automotive, transportation and fleet management industries.

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of mobile design patterns and iOS and Android guidelines.
• Advanced Figma, including Auto Layout and Variables.
• Research methodology and the ability to turn findings into design insights.
• Familiarity with service design principles such as user journey and ecosystem mapping.
• Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to inform design decisions.
