About the role
The Project Health Officer will lead the health component of a two‑year Save the Children project in Kafr El Sheikh, Egypt. The role ensures that health interventions are planned, coordinated, implemented and reported to the highest quality standards while complying with SCI and donor requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead health component activities for the project in Kafr El Sheikh.
- Plan, coordinate, implement and report health interventions in line with SCI and donor requirements.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with internal teams, local authorities and community groups.
- Oversee field activities, ensuring 70% presence on site and compliance with child safeguarding level 3.
- Support the establishment of community health committees and health awareness campaigns.
Required profile
- Minimum four years (48 months) of experience in primary health care or related project implementation.
- Experience working in humanitarian or development settings, preferably with vulnerable groups.
- Ability to travel regularly within Kafr El Sheikh governorate.
- Knowledge of Egypt’s Universal Health Insurance system is an advantage.
