Livelihood Coach - RDPP Project

About the role

Save the Children International is hiring a Livelihood Coach for its RDPP project in Greater Cairo. The post supports livelihoods activities for refugees and host community members and mentors livelihood beneficiaries so they can start a micro-business or keep a job. It reports to the Livelihood Coordinator.

Key responsibilities

• Reach out to target beneficiaries of the pilot CBO team and conduct one-to-one interviews with beneficiaries who received seed funds last year to check their business status
• Carry out field visits, prepare business group discussions and take part in them
• Deliver career guidance and mentoring sessions, including for employed beneficiaries, and give career counselling advice
• Maintain an updated database of participants' information and technical support needs
• Ensure all activities comply with Save the Children's child safeguarding policies
• Prepare training sessions using the facilitator training manual, with interactive methods, and develop a monthly training plan
• Contribute to the project database and monitoring system, tracking activities against agreed indicators
• Develop monthly reports on project progress, success cases and challenges, and share success stories with children and the team

Required profile

• Degree in social sciences, humanities, psychology or another relevant field
• 1-3 years of successful fieldwork experience, preferably in capacity building and livelihoods, with strong experience working with children and youth
• Proven expertise in designing and facilitating life skills and entrepreneurship programmes, and in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating activities
• Good working knowledge of English and Arabic (reading and writing)
• Familiarity with the refugee context is a clear advantage
