Receptionist

About the role

Rixos Premium Seagate, a luxury all-inclusive resort in Sharm El Sheikh, is looking for a receptionist. The role covers front office operations, guest check-ins and check-outs, cash handling and guest relations, within the Front Office Department.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out guest entry and exit procedures, check-in and check-out, and handle guest complaints (room changes, breakdown reports, cleaning complaints).
• Monitor VIP, COMP and house-use guests throughout their stay.
• Handle foreign currency exchange and take over the cash register at the start of each shift, entering departmental cash revenues.
• Monitor occupancy and reservations, forward overdue optional reservations to the Reservations Supervisor or Officer, and remind rooms of their check-out date.
• Record wakeup calls, forward guest requests to Guest Relations, read the log book and exchange reports with other departments.
• Know the night audit procedures, take part in internal communication meetings and trainings, and join the Emergency Response Teams.
• Follow environmental protection and energy-saving measures, and take part in quality management and food safety systems.
• Perform other duties assigned by managers and hotel management.

Required profile

• At least a high school or vocational diploma.
• At least 2 years of related work experience in the industry.
• Sufficient English and Arabic to communicate with guests and staff.
• Theoretical and practical training background.
• Knowledge of guest profiles and ability to guide less experienced colleagues; familiarity with the methods and processes of the field.

Required skills

• MS Office applications.
• Front office reservation systems such as Fidelio and Opera.
• Technical knowledge of front office procedures and night audit.
