About the role

Cactus Communications is seeking a remote Editor specialized in Medicine and Life Sciences to support researchers worldwide. You will apply your academic expertise to improve the clarity, accuracy, and impact of scientific manuscripts, helping authors publish in top‑tier journals.

Key responsibilities

• Review and edit research manuscripts for clarity, coherence, and readability while preserving authors’ intent.
• Ensure subject‑specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate and appropriate for the target audience.
• Enhance presentation of complex findings to improve communication and publication readiness.
• Format manuscripts according to journal guidelines and adhere to editorial standards.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g., Environmental Health, Public Health, Virology, Bioinformatics, Medical Physics, etc.).
• Strong publication record with 5–10+ first‑author papers.
• Prior peer‑review experience and ability to assess study design, methodology, statistics, and interpretation.
• Excellent written English and meticulous attention to detail.
