Restaurant Reservations Agent

About the role

The Restaurant Reservations Agent supports guests by managing reservation requests and ensuring smooth service across the restaurant and related hotel areas. This full‑time position works on‑site at Marriott’s Cairo property, collaborating with multiple departments to deliver a high‑quality guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Assist other departments as needed to guarantee optimal guest service.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the shift, following clean‑as‑you‑go procedures.
• Read and verify reservation information in various formats and enter data using computers and point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Communicate with team members via pagers, two‑way radios, and email.
• Engage guests in conversation about their stay, property services, and local attractions.
• Follow all safety and security policies, report incidents, and complete required training.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, and provide courteous assistance, including support for guests with disabilities.
• Answer telephone calls using professional etiquette.
• Lift, move, and place objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related work experience in hospitality or customer service.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale (POS) systems.
• Basic computer literacy for data entry and information retrieval.
• Ability to use electronic communication devices such as pagers and two‑way radios.
