Sales Account Manager

About the role

The Sales Account Manager will drive commercial growth for AkzoNobel’s powder coatings division, building strong customer relationships and delivering profitable sales results. Reporting to the frontline sales team, you will be responsible for executing agreed sales targets and ensuring high service levels for key accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Implement sales programmes and tools, collaborating with marketing to analyse market trends and customer feedback.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, negotiate contract terms and pricing, and manage key‑account relationships.
• Prepare demand forecasts for operations and provide regular business reviews to support strategic product planning.
• Maintain accurate CRM data, update customer information, and coordinate with technical service and customer service teams to meet technical and service requirements.
• Monitor sales performance, report activities, and proactively inform internal stakeholders of support needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably within coatings or related industrial sectors.
• Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems for managing customer data and sales pipelines.
