Senior Backend Developer (Ruby on Rails)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with deep Ruby on Rails expertise to join a long‑term remote project for one of Proxify’s partner companies. You will work fully remote, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver modern web applications that power user experiences across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑quality web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies, including unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
• Maintain thorough documentation of development processes, code, and system configurations.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in Ruby on Rails development with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Ruby, Rails, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Strong experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Hands‑on experience with testing frameworks like RSpec and Capybara.
• Solid knowledge of Git version control.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
