Senior Geotechnical Engineer

About the role

Hill International is expanding its team for a large‑scale mixed‑use development on the North Coast of Egypt. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will lead geotechnical design, investigations and oversight to ensure safe and cost‑effective foundations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design review, technical validation and contractor oversight for geotechnical works.
• Monitor contractor performance, QA/QC compliance and produce technical reports.
• Coordinate with civil, structural and construction disciplines on complex ground conditions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical specialization preferred); Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering is a plus.
• 10‑12+ years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience, preferably in PMC/consultant environments.
• Proven experience on large‑scale infrastructure or mixed‑use projects with complex ground conditions.

Required skills

• Geotechnical investigations, soil mechanics and ground engineering.
• Foundation systems, piling, ground improvement techniques and excavation support systems.
• Design review, technical validation, contractor oversight and performance monitoring.
• QA/QC compliance, technical reporting and familiarity with geotechnical standards and specifications.
