HVAC Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a senior HVAC Design Engineer to join our technical department in Cairo. The role involves leading the complete HVAC design process for large‑scale projects, ensuring compliance with international standards and delivering integrated solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cooling load calculations using HAP or equivalent software.
• Design HVAC systems such as chilled water, DX, VRF and package units.
• Prepare detailed design drawings in Revit and review documents for code compliance.
• Coordinate with electrical, architectural and structural disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Propose technical and cost‑effective alternatives to optimise system performance and reduce expenses.
• Participate in design review meetings with consultants and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Power or HVAC specialization).
• Minimum 7 years of solid experience in HVAC design for large‑scale projects, preferably high‑rise, residential and commercial mall projects.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, Duct Sizer and Pipe Sizer.
• In‑depth knowledge of international codes and standards: SBC, IBC, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA.
• Experience in sustainability, value engineering, smoke management and fire/life safety regulations.
