Senior Mechatronics Engineer – Hardware Design, Robotics & Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a senior engineer to lead the design, prototyping, manufacturing and testing of hardware products, robotic systems and industrial equipment. The role requires turning concepts into manufacturable solutions while coordinating mechanical, electronic and firmware teams.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and technical requirements into complete hardware designs, specifications and working prototypes.
• Design mechanical bodies, enclosures, chassis, frames and internal component layouts, producing detailed 3D models and manufacturing drawings.
• Develop robotic mechanisms, motion systems, actuators, sensors and control components, ensuring accuracy, repeatability and safety.
• Create CAD/CAM models, CNC toolpaths and machining programs; define tooling, fixtures and inspection requirements.
• Integrate processors, microcontrollers, power supplies and communication modules; program and debug embedded firmware.
• Prepare bills of materials, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation; evaluate and manage suppliers.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on experience in hardware product development, mechanical design, robotics or mechatronics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven ability to take a product from concept through prototype validation to production hand‑over.
• Professional working proficiency in English; Arabic communication skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, Creo or equivalent CAD tools.
• Practical CAD/CAM and CNC programming experience using Mastercam, Fusion 360, Siemens NX CAM or similar.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, material selection and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with embedded systems, microcontrollers, electronics integration and hardware troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform structural and thermal analysis and validate designs through testing.
