Technical Office Mechanical Engineer

About the role

The Technical Office Mechanical Engineer will bridge design concepts and on‑site execution for MEP contracting projects, focusing on HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems. You will ensure technical accuracy, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support the project from design through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design activities and ensure compliance with project specifications and international codes.
• Prepare, review, and modify detailed shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as‑built drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Perform engineering calculations such as cooling/heating loads, hydraulic calculations for firefighting and plumbing, pump head, and external static pressure for fans.
• Prepare material submittal packages, track approvals, and manage procurement documentation.
• Conduct quantity take‑offs, verify Bill of Quantities, and prepare variation orders or claims.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations and produce technical evaluation reports.
• Provide technical support to site teams, answer RFIs, and resolve on‑site technical issues.
• Ensure designs and installations meet Egyptian codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, ASPE, and SMACNA standards.
