Valuations & Modeling Senior Manager / Director (Real Estate)

About the role

EY's Valuation, Modelling and Economics practice advises clients on strategic planning, transactions and non-transaction decisions, including value creation, financial reporting and market valuations. As a VME professional in the Valuation, Modelling and Economics team in Cairo, you will work on commercial issues, support management on acquisitions and transformation plans, and prepare business proposals to win new real estate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake valuations for strategic priorities and conduct feasibility studies, assessing land and property value and advising clients on investment decisions
• Develop complex real estate financial models to assess the market value of asset classes and create business plans for residential, hospitality, retail and commercial real estate
• Perform purchase price allocations and valuations for real estate businesses in MENA
• Monitor real estate markets across MENA and asset classes such as offices, residential units, shopping centers and healthcare facilities
• Present real estate corporate finance activities to new potential clients and build your own business network in the real estate sector

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in finance, economics, accounting or business
• At least 8-10 years of related real estate corporate finance experience
• Solution-driven, autonomous and proactive in reporting to the Director/Partner
• Ideal candidates: valuation experience in a professional services or Big 4 firm, coaching experience, expertise in real estate financial modeling, CFA or equivalent (RICS, CBV), and strong understanding of GCC market dynamics

• Financial modelling, including building models from scratch with real estate experience
• IFRS standards on fair value measurements, business combinations and impairment testing
