Accountant – Full‑time, Cairo

About the role

The Accountant will join Al Sharkawy Advanced Systems in Cairo, supporting day‑to‑day financial operations for a fast‑growing construction and energy solutions provider. This full‑time, on‑site position involves preparing reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Manage budgeting processes and monitor actual versus budgeted performance.
• Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger entries and other financial records.
• Process payroll, handle vendor invoices and oversee accounts payable/receivable.
• Assist with financial forecasting, audit preparation and tax reporting.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate transaction recording.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within construction or energy sectors.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
