Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions, supporting the Finance Department in maintaining reliable records and complying with accounting standards and tax legislation. This position plays a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal control improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accounting transactions in line with standards and internal procedures.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely execution.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and process payments to suppliers, employees, and third parties.
• Issue customer invoices and monitor collections in cooperation with relevant departments.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the preparation and submission of tax declarations and statutory reports.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure proper filing of documentation.
• Assist in budget monitoring, cost analysis, and financial reporting activities.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, banks, and public authorities as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Perform other accounting and financial duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or General Management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting requirements.
• Very good command of Greek and English languages.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
