Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will join GrandEgypt Agro’s finance team in Bab Sharky, handling the full spectrum of day‑to‑day financial operations. This on‑site, full‑time position supports accurate reporting, budgeting and compliance for an agricultural business.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare periodic financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and local regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external auditors.
• Track inventory‑related costs and contribute to finance process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank reconciliations.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet modelling and basic data analysis.
• Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry and strong organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Egyptian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Previous experience in agriculture, manufacturing or a similar industry is advantageous.
