Accountant

About the role

Dentsu is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join its finance team in Cairo. The role supports operational finance activities, ensures accurate reconciliations and timely payments, and keeps financial records compliant with accounting standards and audit requirements. You will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders and auditors, contributing to efficient monthly closing.

Key responsibilities

• Follow standard operating procedures, maintain process documentation and ensure audit compliance.
• Maintain media supplier accounts and strengthen supplier relationships through monthly reconciliations, communication on payments, differences and credit notes.
• Book and prepare sundry supplier payments.
• Track overheads and maintain proper accruals in line with accounting standards.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and recommend adjustments when needed.
• Escalate issues to the Operations Manager and suggest action plans.
• Provide accurate, timely information to support external, internal and client audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Proven accounting experience, with strong knowledge of reconciliations, accruals and balance sheet management.
• Familiarity with audit requirements and compliance processes.
• Ability to communicate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, solve problems and work under pressure to meet deadlines, especially during month-end closing.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
