Accounting Manager - Retail

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead finance and accounting functions across our retail business units. The role will ensure accurate reporting, robust controls and strategic financial insight to support growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all finance and accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and conduct variance analysis for all retail stores.
• Develop and monitor cost‑control frameworks aligned with project budgets and corporate objectives.
• Establish and enforce financial policies, internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations and corporate governance standards.
• Manage cash‑flow planning, liquidity monitoring and investment strategies for retail operations.
• Liaise with external auditors, banks and tax authorities for audits and regulatory submissions.
• Provide strategic financial insights and performance updates to senior leadership.
• Drive ERP implementation, accounting system improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
• Collaborate with retail operations, commercial and merchandising teams to align financial goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 8–12 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, specifically in retail.
• Strong knowledge of local tax legislation, IFRS and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in budgeting, cash‑flow forecasting and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical ability, leadership and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
• Strong Excel modeling skills.
