Accounting & Reporting Professional - International Markets

About the role

EVA Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical company, is looking for an Accounting & Reporting Professional for its International Markets function in Cairo. The role covers financial accounting, financial reporting and support to FP&A, commercial and operations teams, and includes supervising and developing accounting team members.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, accruals and provisions, and ensure accurate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing
• Review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and accounting estimates, and maintain strong internal controls and compliance with company policies
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS, and deliver management reports with variance analysis and commentary
• Work with FP&A, Commercial and Operations teams, give guidance on complex transactions and support new business initiatives, system implementations and process improvements
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes and controls, support ERP implementations, upgrades or automation, and document accounting policies and procedures
• Supervise, coach and develop accounting team members, review their output and foster a culture of accountability and accuracy

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or similar
