Admission Officer – Hospital Admissions

About the role

The Admission Officer is responsible for managing patient admissions in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role ensures accurate registration, verification of patient information, and smooth coordination with clinical and administrative teams.

Key responsibilities

• Register patients and create accurate medical records.
• Complete inpatient and outpatient admission procedures, including verification of identity, demographics, and required documents.
• Obtain and verify insurance approvals and eligibility when applicable.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and other departments regarding patient admissions.
• Explain admission procedures, required forms, and hospital policies to patients and families.
• Prepare admission, transfer, and discharge documentation and collect required signatures.
• Enter patient information accurately into the Hospital Information System (HIS) and maintain daily admission reports.
• Handle patient inquiries professionally and resolve admission‑related issues while maintaining confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in hospital admissions, patient services, or customer service (fresh graduates may be considered).
• Fluent in Arabic and good command of English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hospital admission procedures.
• Familiarity with Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of medical insurance processes.
