Application Development Supervisor Engineer

About the role

The Application Development Supervisor Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Cairo. You will lead a team of developers to design, build and maintain business‑critical applications, ensuring they meet both technical and business requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of developers, assign tasks and review code quality.
• Design and implement software components and integrate them with existing systems.
• Optimize database schemas and query performance.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security practices and SDLC processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and infrastructure teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support.
• Mentor team members, prepare technical documentation and drive continuous improvement of development tools and processes.

Required profile

• Strong software development background with experience in enterprise application design and maintenance.
• Solid programming skills in relevant web and enterprise frameworks.
• Practical experience with database design, optimization and performance tuning.
• Front‑end proficiency with Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and related web technologies.
• Experience integrating applications via APIs, middleware and heterogeneous systems.
• Proven experience leading or supervising development teams, coordinating workload and coaching members.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
