Application Technical Leader - UX/UI, GISACC

About the role

Valeo is seeking an Application Technical Leader specialized in UX/UI to drive the design of intuitive web applications within its GISACC division. The role combines strategic design leadership with hands‑on creation of user‑centered interfaces for high‑impact mobility solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation of user‑centered web application designs, including wireframes, prototypes and high‑fidelity mockups.
• Conduct user research, usability testing and analyse feedback to continuously improve designs.
• Establish and maintain design systems, style guides and visual standards for consistency.
• Collaborate closely with front‑end developers to ensure high‑fidelity implementation and accessibility.
• Work with product managers, engineers and other stakeholders to define product strategy and align design with business objectives.
• Oversee end‑to‑end design projects, ensuring high‑quality user experiences across platforms.
• Plan and execute usability testing sessions, interpreting results to refine solutions.
• Mentor junior designers, guide professional growth and uphold design standards.
• Create interactive prototypes to validate concepts.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives.
• Interview, select and onboard new designers, ensuring smooth team ramp‑up.
• People management responsibilities as required.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Graphic Design, HCI, UX or a related technical field.
• Proven experience leading at least six design projects from conception to delivery.
• Experience working with squads of four or more, designing 15‑25 complete user journeys and delivering 10‑20 production UI designs used by over 1,000 active users.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior designers and manage people.
