Aramco-Approved Vendor Inspector (VID) – Relocation to France

About the role

Intertek, a global leader in testing, inspection and certification, is seeking experienced Aramco‑Approved Vendor Inspectors to join its Lyon office. This long‑term position offers relocation assistance, visa and work‑permit sponsorship, and the chance to work on high‑profile projects that follow Aramco standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct vendor inspections of equipment, components and fabrication processes at supplier facilities.
• Verify compliance with Aramco specifications, international codes and client requirements.
• Document inspection findings and provide corrective action recommendations.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Welding, Materials, Electrical or Instrumentation engineering (or equivalent).
• 5‑10+ years of vendor inspection experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, power or heavy‑fabrication environments.
• Prior exposure to Saudi Aramco projects and holding an Aramco “approved vendor inspector / VID” status.
• Valid Aramco QM codes (QM26, QM30 mandatory; QM27, QM31 optional).

Required skills

• Aramco CBT (Competency Based Test) certification.
• NDT Level II/III in PT, MT, UT, RT.
• Welding inspection certification (e.g., CSWIP, AWS).
• API/ASME code qualifications (e.g., API 650, API 620, ASME Section V, IX).
• Strong knowledge of welding, metallurgy, heat treatment, materials testing, and relevant codes (ASME, API, AWS, ASTM).
