Assessment & Planning Coordinator

About the role

The Assessment & Planning Coordinator supports LSU Alexandria’s stakeholders in planning and assessment activities that enhance student learning, success, and overall institutional effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the annual assessment reporting process for academic programs, administrative units, and student support services.
• Consult with faculty and staff on developing measurable learning outcomes, operational KPIs, and assessment plans.
• Review assessment reports, provide feedback, and promote continuous improvement.
• Maintain and communicate reporting schedules, deadlines, and expectations.
• Design and facilitate workshops, webinars, and professional‑development sessions on assessment design, strategic planning, and continuous improvement, both in‑person and virtually.
• Provide coaching, technical assistance, and maintain assessment documentation, templates, and reporting guides.
• Support institutional strategic planning initiatives and translate priorities into measurable goals, objectives, and success metrics.
• Facilitate cross‑functional planning sessions and collaborative improvement projects.

Required profile

• Experience in higher‑education assessment, planning, or institutional research.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication and facilitation abilities for diverse academic and administrative audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across units.

Required skills

• Knowledge of assessment methodologies and strategic planning processes.
• Proficiency in developing learning outcomes, KPIs, and assessment plans.
• Experience delivering workshops and webinars in both in‑person and virtual formats.
