Assistant Manager, People Development

About the role

The Assistant Manager, People Development supports the People Development Manager in fostering a continuous learning culture across Swissotel Sharm El Sheikh. This role ensures that training initiatives align with the hotel’s operational goals and global brand standards, while promoting knowledge sharing and talent growth.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with department heads and the People & Culture team to identify learning needs and design tailored development programs.
• Assist in creating and implementing training strategies that reinforce the hotel’s culture and service standards.
• Integrate and administer INES (PeopleHub) as a core learning platform for staff.
• Advise business units on emerging learning technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
• Certify internal trainers and facilitators, and support external consultant selection and management.
• Coach hotel teams, delivering on‑the‑job and task‑breakdown training sessions.
• Adapt global learning content to local requirements, including language translation.
• Monitor program budgets and ensure alignment with global learning and development ethos.

Required profile

• Demonstrated understanding of hospitality service culture and commitment to high standards of excellence.
• Strong collaboration skills with senior hotel leaders and HR teams.
• Ability to manage multiple training projects and budgets effectively.
• Experience in coaching and developing staff within a hotel or similar service environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using learning management systems (e.g., INES/PeopleHub).
• Knowledge of talent development methodologies and best practices.
• Ability to tailor and translate training content for diverse audiences.
