Assistant Manager – Production Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to support the Production Operations at Nestlé’s 6th of October factory. The role involves overseeing manufacturing lines across rotating shifts, ensuring efficient output while meeting quality, safety and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control the daily production programme in line with the schedule.
• Coordinate with maintenance for set‑up, repairs and line adjustments, and verify checklists and log sheets for completeness.
• Ensure operations follow standard procedures, quality specifications and safety/environmental policies.
• Review variance reports, identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce repeat issues.
• Monitor hygiene, GMP compliance and provide formal or informal training to line personnel.
• Liaise with the QA laboratory on material, packaging and finished‑product quality matters.
• Work with maintenance supervisors to guarantee smooth machine performance.
• Maintain accurate daily, weekly and monthly inventory records.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in a technical field, preferably food manufacturing or consumer‑goods industry.
• University degree (engineering preferred) or equivalent.
• Supervisory experience managing production teams or contractors.
• Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary teams focused on process or packaging optimisation.
• Strong English communication skills and leadership capability.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
