Associate, IT Audit & Assurance (German Speaker)

About the role

PwC is hiring an Associate for its Technology Audit & Assurance team in Cairo. As a cybersecurity generalist, you will support engagements that help clients understand and strengthen their technology environment, IT controls, cyber posture and process integrity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across the Middle East and Europe, using industry-leading digital audit tools.

Key responsibilities

• Support the execution of IT audit and technology assurance procedures under the guidance of senior team members.
• Prepare business data and perform initial analyses, including reviewing security-relevant system settings and authorizations.
• Take part in reviews of IT general controls (ITGC), application controls, cybersecurity and IT risk management.
• Assist in testing business processes, internal control systems and IT systems, documenting findings clearly.
• Contribute to process optimization recommendations and help identify improvement opportunities for clients.
• Collaborate with regional teams, especially when supporting German clients and engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory; German speaking is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills.
• Interest in IT audit, cybersecurity and risk assurance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Preferred: knowledge of ITGC, ISO standards, NIST, COBIT or related frameworks.
• Preferred: experience with data analytics, scripting or audit tools.
