Associate Manager - People & Culture

About the role

The People & Culture Associate Manager will lead HR functions for MAGRABi Retail Group’s Egypt retail operations. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures the execution of people strategies, compliance with local labour laws, and delivery of a seamless employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of the company’s People & Culture strategy across Egypt, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, onboarding, internal moves, promotions, disciplinary actions, investigations and off‑boarding.
• Lead talent acquisition in partnership with Area Retail Managers to meet manpower planning and business priorities.
• Oversee payroll preparation and validation, ensuring accuracy of variable pay, commissions, allowances and employee changes.
• Maintain up‑to‑date employee data and personnel records across HRIS systems.
• Ensure compliance with Egyptian labour regulations, company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Analyse and report HR metrics such as turnover, headcount and hiring trends to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• 7‑9 years of HR experience, including 2‑3 years in a senior HR Generalist, Lead or Business Partner role within the retail sector.
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian labour regulations and experience with HRIS and payroll processes.
• Proven ability to partner with business leaders on manpower planning and organisational effectiveness.
