Audit Manager

About the role

The Audit Manager will lead and oversee external audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients, ensuring each assignment is delivered from planning through to final reporting in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISAs) and IFRS requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan audit assignments, allocate tasks, and monitor progress to meet quality and timeline targets.
• Review audit working papers, financial statements and audit reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Act as the primary client contact, providing technical guidance on audit, accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate audit team members, supporting their professional development.
• Maintain compliance with the firm’s quality control, risk management and independence policies.
• Contribute to business development by nurturing client relationships and assisting with proposal preparation.
• Stay current with changes in accounting standards, auditing regulations and tax requirements.
• Utilise audit tools and Microsoft Excel to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in external audit, including at least 4 years in a managerial role.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA or ACA is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ISAs.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client‑management abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple engagements.
