AWS Cloud Engineer - Associate

About the role

PwC is recruiting an AWS Cloud Engineer (Associate) to join its Cloud practice in Cairo. The role helps customers get the most out of AWS by building differentiated solutions and defining new customer experiences. The engineer works with industry specialists and technology groups, reports to the Cloud Service Delivery Director and collaborates with colleagues in the UK, the Netherlands and Germany.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement solutions focused on customer experience and engagement
• Lead customer discovery and design sessions
• Work with global teams and share best practices and assets with the local market
• Take part in design activities and lead design and process discussions with clients
• Deliver client service and estimate effort for technical developments
• Manage stream deliverables and resolve issues after go-live, transitioning to support

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or Communications Engineering
• Fluent English, speaking and writing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and to collaborate with teams
• Good oral and written communication, presentation, time management and organizational skills

Required skills

• Hands-on AWS implementation experience across core services (compute, storage, databases, analytics, networking, security)
• Experience with at least two AWS services (Amazon Connect, Lex, Polly, Lambda)
• Customer experience and engagement tools, preferably in the AWS ecosystem (e.g. Amazon Connect)
• Scripting and AWS infrastructure as code; automation mindset
• Programming in Python and Node.js
• Knowledge of legacy contact centers and IVRs
