Azure Data Engineer – Associate (Cairo)

About the role

The Data Engineering Associate will support the design, planning and construction of data pipelines, extraction and transformation logic. You will work with Python, SOLID and DRY principles to build scalable solutions that enable business insights. The role also includes mentoring junior engineers and applying best practices in data management.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for large‑volume data processing.
• Implement and manage relational databases and RDBMS using Python, SQL and related tools.
• Perform data wrangling and cleaning to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define data requirements and deliver appropriate solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong understanding of SOLID and DRY programming principles.
• Proficiency in Python programming for data pipeline development.
• Experience with RESTful API integration.
• Familiarity with Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of set theory concepts for data organization.
