Back Office L2 Engineer – Security

About the role

We are looking for a Back Office L2 Engineer – Security to join our Telecom Security team. The role focuses on operating and managing IP-backbone security devices to protect our network infrastructure and support a wide range of telecom services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot multi-vendor firewalls, IPS, authentication servers, token servers, load balancers and DDoS mitigation solutions.
• Secure Gi traffic between GGSNs and internet gateway firewalls and ensure safe communications among IN, VAS, IT, IP-RAN, OSS, SS7/SIGTRAN, NOC and other nodes.
• Monitor data-traffic performance through firewalls, investigate incidents and resolve abnormalities.
• Define threats, develop mitigation action plans and implement security access requests.
• Lead IP-backbone security expansions, replacements and new deployments.
• Provide on-call support outside business hours and coordinate third-party vendor cases.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience in network security.
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Proven scripting or automation experience (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Juniper SRX, Fortinet firewalls and F5 modules (LTM, AFM, ASM, GTM).
• Familiarity with telecom operator networks.
• Strong presentation, communication and customer-relationship skills.
• JNCIP-SEC certification required; F5 certifications a plus.
