Backend Developer – Django / ERP Systems

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our development team and contribute to the continuous improvement of Kamash Finance, a fully operational financial and accounting ERP system built with Django and PostgreSQL.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance ERP modules using Django and Django REST Framework.
• Implement accurate accounting business logic, including automated journal entries and reconciliations.
• Design, modify, and optimise Django models and database migrations while preserving data integrity.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests for critical financial modules.
• Optimise database queries and application performance for large‑scale financial transactions.
• Develop and manage background tasks using Celery and Redis.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend, database, and application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to clean coding standards.
• Document code, technical processes, and business logic in Arabic and English.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Backend Developer using Python and Django.
• Strong experience with Django REST Framework and API development.
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational database design.
• Solid understanding of Django ORM and advanced query optimisation.
• Experience with Celery and Redis for asynchronous processing.
• Understanding of software architecture, clean code, and design patterns.
• Experience handling database migrations in production environments.
• Ability to implement complex business logic and financial workflows.
• Good English communication and technical documentation skills.
