Bag Designer – Leather Handbags

About the role

We are seeking a talented Bag Designer to join a new collection development project focused on leather handbags. Working under a defined creative direction, you will contribute your own design ideas from concept through to production, ensuring each piece meets high aesthetic and functional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop initial bag design sketches aligned with the creative brief.
• Provide design suggestions and refinements throughout the development cycle.
• Create detailed technical drawings and production‑ready tech packs.
• Define the structure, proportions, and functionality of each bag.
• Select appropriate leathers, hardware, and finishing details.
• Support sampling, collaborate closely with manufacturers, and oversee prototyping.

Required profile

• Proven experience in handbag or leather bag design.
• Strong understanding of bag construction and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to produce accurate technical drawings and comprehensive tech packs.
• Experience working with factories or leather workshops is highly preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to execution quality.
