Beach Attendant

About the role

The Beach Attendant creates a fun, relaxed atmosphere for guests enjoying the recreational facilities at Marriott’s Alexandria location. You will greet visitors, provide information on activities and equipment, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a positive, upbeat atmosphere and assist guests with inquiries about recreation services.
• Enforce facility rules and safety regulations, responding to emergencies and assisting injured guests until medical help arrives.
• Handle towels, conduct inventory of supplies and equipment, and report low stock or safety concerns to management.
• Maintain clean, professional appearance and adhere to company policies, including confidentiality and asset protection.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests, assist individuals with disabilities, and use clear, professional communication.
• Operate point‑of‑sale and computer systems for guest transactions and information entry.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting (≤25 lb), moving supplies, and navigating uneven or slippery surfaces.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Any recreation‑equipment certification required by local authorities.
