Business Development Manager – Maritime Services

About the role

World Marine Egypt is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the expansion of new service lines across the Egypt‑Libya energy corridor, safety equipment distribution and commercial brokerage. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will own the growth agenda from market research to deal closure.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities in maritime, logistics and energy sectors.
• Develop and execute a go‑to‑market strategy for each new service line.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, negotiations and contract finalisation.
• Maintain a robust pipeline, produce regular reports and track commercial performance.
• Build and nurture long‑term relationships with international stakeholders and port authorities.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure delivery of agreed services.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of business development, commercial or chartering experience in maritime services, oil & gas, energy logistics or industrial equipment distribution.
• Proven track record of opening new markets or launching new business lines.
• Existing network in the East Mediterranean shipping, Egyptian oil & gas services or related sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Logistics or a related field.
• Fluent in Arabic and English, with strong written and spoken communication.
• Willingness to travel regularly to Egyptian port cities.
