Category Lead, CAPEX & OPEX Procurement

About the role

The Category Lead for CAPEX & OPEX Procurement will shape and execute sourcing strategies that drive cost efficiency and value creation across capital and operational spend. You will work closely with Finance, Engineering, Operations and Business Units to ensure commercial excellence and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for CAPEX and OPEX spend.
• Lead end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including RFP/RFQ creation, negotiation and contracting.
• Manage procurement of capital equipment, projects and indirect categories such as IT, facilities management, professional services and MRO.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives, monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to procurement policies.
• Maintain documentation, audit readiness and promote ethical, sustainable sourcing practices.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 7‑9 years of experience in procurement or category management, with strong CAPEX & OPEX sourcing background.
• Proven negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
