CCTV Operator

About the role

The CCTV Operator ensures the safety and security of guests, employees and property by continuously monitoring the hotel’s surveillance network. Working from the control room, you will provide real‑time information to security teams and support investigations when required.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all CCTV cameras and related surveillance systems throughout the shift without interruption.
• Observe, record and promptly report any suspicious activity, security breaches or unusual incidents.
• Retrieve, review and preserve CCTV footage for authorized investigations.
• Maintain equipment functionality, report faults and ensure proper storage and archiving of recordings.
• Assist security officers during emergencies by providing real‑time visual information.
• Monitor fire alarm, access‑control and other security systems where applicable.
• Keep accurate logs of incidents, equipment status and daily activities.
• Participate in emergency drills, security training and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• At least a high school diploma.
• Ability to work in a control‑room environment and maintain confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow security procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of CCTV cameras and video recording equipment.
• Monitoring of fire alarm and access‑control systems.
• Use of communication tools such as telephones, radios and intercoms.
• Incident documentation and reporting.
• Retrieval and preservation of surveillance footage.
