Chargé(e) d'affaires infrastructures – 11‑month fixed‑term

About the role

Proparco is seeking an Infrastructure Deal Officer for an 11‑month fixed‑term contract within its Urban Transitions and Mobility team. Based in Paris, you will support the financing of transport, water, waste and urban mobility projects across emerging markets, working under the supervision of the team leader.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and source new infrastructure financing opportunities in collaboration with Proparco’s local offices.
• Structure and evaluate project financing packages, including senior debt, guarantees, bond issuances, mezzanine, equity and debt‑fund solutions.
• Conduct technical, economic, legal and financial analyses, build financial projection models and run scenario tests.
• Prepare and present proposal notes for Proparco, AFD and European financing mechanisms.
• Negotiate financial documentation with legal support and coordinate disbursements with the middle office.
• Monitor portfolio projects throughout their lifecycle and manage co‑financing arrangements as lead arranger.
• Contribute to knowledge‑sharing and best‑practice capture within the team.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with proven experience in infrastructure project financing, from origination to portfolio monitoring.
• Strong analytical and synthesis abilities, autonomous and well‑organized.
• Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken); French is the working language.
• Comfortable with client‑facing work, negotiation and project team management.
• Engineering school, business school or postgraduate degree is a plus.
• International travel required.
