Chief Accountant – Cosmetics Manufacturing (Odoo Experience)

About the role

We are looking for a highly reliable, hands‑on Chief Accountant to lead the accounting function of a leading cosmetics manufacturing company. The role involves managing the full accounting cycle on Odoo ERP, supervising a small accounting team, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a fast‑moving production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle on Odoo, including journal entries, general ledger, AP, AR, trial balance and financial statements.
• Oversee cost accounting and inventory valuation for raw materials, packaging, work‑in‑process and finished cosmetics products.
• Ensure proper recording of production costs, overhead allocation and batch costing.
• Supervise the accounting team, assign tasks, review entries and enforce compliance with Egyptian accounting standards.
• Monitor collections, payments, bank reconciliations and cash‑flow, maintaining strong internal controls.
• Handle import costing, landed‑cost calculations and supplier settlements when required.
• Prepare monthly and annual closings, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations and periodic financial dashboards.
• Coordinate with the Group Accounting Manager on consolidation, reporting deadlines and audit preparation.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis and management reporting for plant operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Approximately 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, cosmetics or FMCG.
• Proven experience managing the full accounting cycle and supervising a team.
• Very good command of English.
• Ability to work in or commute to 6th of October City.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Odoo ERP.
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting and inventory control in a production environment.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
