Chief Accountant – Head of Accounting

About the role

Bedir is seeking a seasoned Chief Accountant to lead its accounting function across manufacturing and commercial operations. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management of daily financial processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, payroll, and inventory accounting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Design, implement and maintain internal control systems and SOPs to mitigate financial risk.
• Ensure full compliance with local tax laws, corporate regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
• Utilize and optimise the Odoo ERP system to streamline accounting workflows and reporting.
• Lead internal and external audit processes, keeping all financial documentation audit‑ready.
• Mentor and evaluate the accounting team across multiple branches to maximise efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CMA or CPA preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
• Experience in manufacturing or retail environments is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, deep knowledge of IFRS/Local GAAP and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of presenting financial data to senior management.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with the Odoo ERP financial module.
• Expert‑level Microsoft Excel skills.
