Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting function for a leading automotive retail company with multiple branches across Egypt. Based in New Cairo, this full‑time, on‑site position oversees financial reporting, ledger management, compliance, and tax filing while supporting the company’s growth strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present accurate financial statements and management reports.
• Manage general ledger operations and ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with local financial regulations and coordinate external audits.
• Lead budget planning, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
• Supervise and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Oversee tax calculations and filings to meet statutory deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6 to 9 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Proven experience managing teams and collaborating across functions.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
