Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Accountant to lead the finance function of our luxury hotel, part of the Accor network. The role combines strategic financial management with day‑to‑day accounting oversight to ensure the hotel’s financial health and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.
• Prepare, review and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS and local standards.
• Monitor cash flow, liquidity and overall financial performance of the property.
• Develop annual budgets with department heads, track variances and provide forecasts.
• Implement cost‑control measures across F&B, rooms and other departments, and manage inventory control.
• Maintain robust internal controls, coordinate internal and external audits and ensure tax compliance.
• Produce financial reports and analysis for senior management to support decision‑making.
• Lead, train and motivate the accounting team, fostering a high‑performance environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, CMA or ACCA preferred.
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, including 3–5 years in hospitality or luxury hotels.
• Strong knowledge of hotel accounting systems (e.g., Opera, Sun) and IFRS/local standards.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts and cost‑control initiatives.
